An icy start this morning. The mountains are beautiful covered in snow from yesterday’s storm.
The bricklayers are outside singing as they work on the house. (Well, one of them is singing, and the others haven’t killed him yet. LOL!) With no new cases of Covid-19 yesterday, we are guardedly optimistic we’ll get through this yet. Kia kaha!
This is Pandemic poem number forty! Forty days and forty nights … I wonder if Noah wrote poetry to pass the time on the ark?
Another glorious day of sun. I know it will end (sooner rather than later), but I’ll take every lovely day I can at this point.
Another day, another … day … Hope everyone is keeping busy and well. It’s been good to see work being done on the new house this week. We’re working hard to get the outside painting done while this warm weather lasts.
Congratulations! We made it through April–all 10,000 weeks of it!
We woke this morning to a warm breeze and it struck me yet again how fortunate we’ve been that the weather has been warmer and drier than usual for autumn. Here’s hoping it continues for a while longer–it makes everything more bearable.
Our bubble enjoyed a nice hike yesterday on our first day of Level 3. It was good to climb a mountain again!
New Zealand has moved from level 4 lockdown to level 3 today. Level 3 is about like what the rest of the world is calling lockdown, and for most of us our daily life won’t change much with the relaxing of restrictions. But it’s a move in the right direction, and it’s heartening to see that all our efforts to control the virus in the past month have been effective. Keep up the good work everyone! Kia kaha!
A noisy Nor’wester blew in last night. Bits of the neighbour’s trees pelted the roof like rain.
