Availability

I am generally available for school visits on Thursdays and Fridays during term times. Evenings, weekends, and holiday programme times are also available.

What does the school need to provide?

I am fairly self-sufficient. For presentations I use Powerpoint or Google Slides. If your school has the equipment, I’ll happily use your projector/Apple TV. If not, I can bring my own. A table is nice for presentations and workshops, but not absolutely necessary.

Book sales

I will not bring a supply of books to school, but students will be able to order books.

Generally, when I visit a school, I like to stay for at least one break time, to give the children a chance to browse my books. Book order forms will be available for students to take home. Students must return order forms with payment (electronically or cash) to the school within a week. The school then forwards the order forms to me, and I fill the orders and post or hand-deliver the books to the school for distribution.

What does it cost?

Author presentation: $200
Workshop: $250
Presentation + workshop combo: $350
Additional workshops/presentations on the same day: $100
Programmes outside Canterbury may incur travel fees

What about Covid?

I am fully vaccinated, and am happy to present masked. In the case of increased Covid restrictions, I will contact booked schools with the option of a Zoom presentation/workshop or to reschedule.
