Availability

I am available for school visits within Canterbury during the school terms. School visits outside Canterbury may be negotiated, but additional charges will be incurred. Evenings, weekends, and holiday programme times are also available.

What does the school need to provide?

I am fairly self-sufficient. For presentations I use Powerpoint, Keynote or Google Slides. If your school has the equipment, I’ll happily use your projector/Apple TV. If not, I can bring my own. A table is nice for presentations and workshops, but not absolutely necessary.

Book sales

I will not bring a supply of books to school, but students will be able to order books.

Generally, when I visit a school, I like to stay for at least one break time, to give the children a chance to browse my books. Students will receive book ordering information, which parents can do online in the week following my visit. Once orders are in, I post or hand-deliver the books to the school for distribution.

Author presentation: $200
Workshop: $250
Presentation + workshop combo: $350
Additional workshops/presentations on the same day: $100
Programmes outside Canterbury may incur travel fees
